(pronounced ZEH-luks)

This term is a fairly new compound word comprised of the words zealot and luxury. (If you don’t know what zealot means, see the definition entry above.) In other words, a zealux is a breed of person who is passionate about luxury living as it relates to design, products, clothing, travel, and an overall lifestyle experience. As more and more people have become increasingly wealthy in the past five years, the zealux population as grown.

Example: The moment Devon walked in the door of his potential new client’s townhome, he could tell she was a zealux. Prada slippers donning her feet, a fur throw draped across a sofa, and exotic flowers atop multiple surfaces.
