Z
This word flows off the tongue just as the items it can be used to describe flow in application. This adjective characterizes something ethereal or delicately fine in texture or form – so much so that one might even be able to see through it. Applied to the intangible, it can also mean vague or insubstantial in nature.
Example: Every aspect of Robin’s mysterious, feminine design for her client’s master bedroom was diaphanous – from the elegant embroidered draperies on the windows and the fragile antique vases on the fireplace mantel to the otherworldly outdoor scenes in the mural on the ceiling.
