In everyday terms, this noun refers to the greenness of growing vegetation or even the vegetation itself. In the design industry, the term can also be used to describe scenes of stylized foliage and vignettes of flora containing birds and other animals. Often these scenes allow glimpses of a building (or town) in the distance, as well as a person (or people) enjoying nature. Tapestry, upholstery, wallpaper and murals lend themselves well to verdure.
