2016 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition

Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Commission proudly announce the call for entries for the 2016 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition. Now in its 23rd year, the annual awards program honors the work of North American architects and designers who create exceptional spaces using Italian ceramic tile.

The Program

Enter projects into one of three categories (Residential, Institutional and Commercial/Hospitality) by using the online submission form. There is no fee or limit to entries.

The Requirements

Architects and designers based in North America are invited to submit domestic and international new construction and renovation projects completed within the past five years (January 2011-January 2016). Projects can use a variety of materials but must feature a significant portion of Italian ceramic tile.

The Pay-Off

An international jury of design experts will select one grand prize winner in each category. The winning architect or designer will receive a cash prize of $4,000 plus a trip to Chicago to present the project at Coverings and a CEU-accredited trip to Bologna, Italy to attend Cersaie-the world’s largest exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings-with a delegation of top design media. An additional $1,000 will be awarded to the contractor/distributor team who worked on each winning project.

The Deadline

The competition is open for entries through January 15, 2016.
