2014 CIDA Award for Excellence Winners Announced
The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) announced the winners of the 2014 Award for Excellence. This award recognizes and celebrates outstanding practices that advance the cause of excellence in interior design education.
2014 CIDA Award for Excellence Winners
- 1st Place [$5,000]: “Impacting a Campus…Engaging the Community” by Travis L. Hicks – Director of the Center for Community-Engaged Design and Assistant Professor in the Interior Architecture Department at University of North Carolina at Greensboro
- Merit Award [$2,000]: “Heritage Re-Visited/Vertical Studio” by Taymoore Balbaa – Assistant Professor, Ryerson School of Interior Design
- Honorable Mention: “Cloudspace Connect Lounge” by Deborah Schneiderman – Associate Professor, Interior Design, at Pratt Institute
- Honorable Mention: “SCADPAD, Reimagining Urban Living” by Khoi Vo – Chair of Interior Design, Savannah College of Art and Design
