Just bring us a sample of the desired hue and we’ll quickly analyze it and develop an ideal match that’s consistent across all sheens. A Colorful Vision

Sherwin-Williams’s versatile Color Visualizer, an online colorization program, puts a powerful design tool at your — and your clients’ — fingertips. With the Color Visualizer, just point and click to select promising shades and schemes, or to see how your color choices look together — whether as swatches, or on a project’s interior or exterior. When your project requires that green be more than just a colorful shade, Sherwin-Williams can help. We constantly search for more sustainable raw materials as we continue to be as diligent as possible in consumption of energy and natural resources; in meeting or exceeding government environmental standards; and in giving our customers more responsible options for their projects.

Raw Materials

Sherwin-Williams is working to provide you with coatings that are high-solid or waterborne formulations that replace — and outperform — solventborne products. In addition, we’re also discovering ways to use renewable raw materials such as soy and sunflower oil in our products.

Product Life Span

By developing durable products that increase the span of time between painting and repainting, Sherwin-Williams is helping reduce the amount of waste and chemicals that are released into the environment whenever paint is applied. In addition, many of our coatings are formulated to clean easily and to resist mildew, harmful bacteria, and other microbes, further improving indoor and outdoor environments.

The Products

Our environmentally preferred coating options include the products listed below. Duration Home™ Interior Latex and Harmony® Interior Latex carry Sherwin-Williams’s GreenSure designation for environmentally preferred products that offer long-term durability, the highest indoor air quality ratings with low VOCs (volatile organic compounds), and low odor, and meet or exceed the Green Seal’s GS-11 criteria for coatings used in LEED certified buildings. Going beyond most third-party certifications, GreenSure takes into consideration product performance and a variety of other criteria that impact the environment.

• Duration Home Interior Latex is formulated with patented cross-linking technology, which prevents stains from penetrating. It provides superior washability to any other paint or ceramic coating on the market, and it has outstanding burnish resistance. Duration Home is environmentally preferable because it has a low VOC waterborne formula, a low odor, and anti-microbial properties to resist mildew, and most stains wipe away easily with water or mild soap. No harsh cleaning chemicals are needed, and frequent repaints are minimized. Duration Home provides ultimate quality and performance.
• Harmony Interior Latex Coatings. Zero-VOC, low-odor, silica-free coatings for occupied spaces. Harmony meets or exceeds the criteria set by LEED, as defined in Green Seal’s GS-11, 2002. All results have been verified by Sherwin-Williams’s ISO 9001 laboratory.
• Duration® Exterior Coating is formulated with PermaLast™ Technology, which optimizes durability and increases film build over conventional paints providing a unique one-coat warranty on repaints.
• ProClassic® Waterborne Interior Acrylic Enamel combines the performance benefits of alkyd enamel with the environmental benefits of waterbornes. ProClassic Waterborne meets or exceeds the criteria set by LEED, as defined by Green Seal’s GS-11, 2002.
