Why do designers who work on kitchens and bathrooms have their own organization [NKBA ” National Kitchen & Bath Association]”
(submitted by Lance C.)
Fifty years ago designers began to specialize in kitchen and bath design. At the same time innovation in kitchen and bath products began to go through an accelerated cycle where what seemed revolutionary at the time of debut was quickly surpassed by something newer and better. This resulted in the need for an organization to meet the increasing education needs of qualified professionals in the kitchen and bath industry.
NKBA responded by creating a university offering a foundation for professional career growth ” through planning guidelines, course offerings, reference manual, and a multi-level certification program. NKBA offers kitchen and bath professionals continuing education units (CEU”s) and is a proactive voice in the industry to protect members by monitoring new laws.
