Thank you so much for the beautiful note about Keri [Hall] in Plinth & Chintz [August 2008 Newsletter]. She always enjoyed reading your newsletter. I just wanted to say thank you and let you know that we are touched.

Hi! I love the concept of what you are doing, but I must say, I find your site extremely difficult to navigate. I honestly am not trying to be overly critical, but your website is so difficult to use. I really, REALLY want to love your site – I think [Founder] Laura [McDonald Stewart] seems like a very cool and cute person, but I just feel like the site is overly complex – too many tabs, categories, too much text – generally, it is so busy it is nearly impossible to focus. I think you have a great concept, and I hope to stay in touch.

PLiNTH & CHiNTZ’s Response:

Megan, I totally agree with you on many levels, and I completely appreciate your taking the time to email me your opinions. I have been wanting to revamp P&C a bit to make it more streamlined, and I totally want to overhaul Club Chintz to become more of a blog instead of the forums. I am spread so thin that I have never had the proper time to devote Club Chintz and it just breaks my heart that I was never able to market it properly and get it off and running robustly. Therefore, I’ve been downplaying Club Chintz completely until I can find the time to turn it into what I want.

To be perfectly honest, I am spread so thin with all that I am involved with that I have not had time to make all of these much-needed changes happen. I wish there were two (or three!) of me. OR, I wish that I could escape to a desert island for a week with only my Mac and an Internet connection (but no email) so that I could solely concentrate on this and not be dragged away with a million other demands on my attention.

Again, thanks so much for your comments. Maybe your voice in my head will spur me to focus more on what needs to be done.

Laura McDonald Stewart, Founder
